In Giclee printing,
screens are not used, this allows for no visible dot screen pattern. The
image has all the tonalities and hues of the original painting. Giclee
(pronounced Gee’clay) is a French term meaning to spray or squirt, which
is how an inkjet printer works. However, it is not the same as a standard
desktop inkjet printer.
These Giclee prints
are made with archival inks and the finest of archival acid-free
museum-quality watercolor papers.
Each original print
is inspected and goes through several quality control checks before the
artist gives their final approval and signs the print.
